In this article written by Suarez, Marquez-Velarde, Glass and Miller published on December 2, 2020, discusses how the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and others (LGBTQ+) faces inequality in working environment. The authors used information collected in the 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey where over twenty-four thousand trans-identified respondents and relating them to a study by Puwar. This article highlighted the type of discrimination varies from a worker’s identified gender, preferred pronouns, race/ethnicity as well as ones social status. The article is supported by citing credible sources and referencing to relevant studies in the field. The article showcases in-dept research and understanding from the authors about struggles and challenged faced by trans workers in a cisnormativity workplace, while at the same time mentioning the importance to having an inclusive policy and practice. While the article seems to have highlighted every possible issue that has been faced, it could further discuss on identifying the source of these issues and preventing it from happening.

This article written by Di Marco, Hoel, & Lewis, was published in February, 2021 talks about the unheard voices of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LBGT) voices in a workplace environment. The authors highlighted that many LGBT individuals hide their pronounce and sexual orientation in work place in fear of being discriminated and outed by their own company. Supporting that, the authors also mentioned individuals from the LGBT community has to explain themselves not only once but multiple times in the workplace not in their interest and comfortability but to each new person they meet. Through research, the authors cited that trans- and homophobia was not a term that explanied all the discrimination LGBT individuals faced and therefore switched to gender identity prejudice and anti-homosexuality/anti- transgenderism. The authors focused on the issues but also provided insight on workplace improving to allow a more diverse and safe environment for LGBT individuals to work in. The article also provided a deep understanding on how workplaces are striving to change to provide the same rights to everyone from all walks of life.

Final Thoughts
As much as I thought I had the skill of synthesising and summarising, this assignment has humbled me. I realised how short my attention span has became and it caused me a tough time to finish each journal article. Having that said, task that was done in class allowed me a basic knowledge to understand how an annotated bibliography should be written and what is the main purpose behind it.
